He presented himself as a chess grandmaster and offered any intruders a choice between a drinking challenge or a chess match. Visibly bored with his post and indifferent to the nature of the work, he appeared to view the contract as a tedious obligation rather than a vocation.
When the Seekers encountered him, they used Banishment to send him back to his plane rather than accepting either challenge.
