Giles Ne’ville was a male human rogue, born as an urchin in Luskan who quickly turned to crime. He joined an adventuring party as a rogue, then betrayed them: when the group planned to assault a cell of The Calamity, Giles infiltrated the camp alone, charmed his way through the outlaws, murdered the cell’s leader, and had himself declared the new Lieutenant. He then eliminated his former party and expanded banditry across the region.

Brill Haverkoss, bitter over the murder of the former leader, hired a performing troupe to kill Giles at his birthday celebration. That troupe was unknowingly replaced by the Seekers, who had been sent to capture him. Despite the substitution, the Seekers performed convincingly enough to gain Giles’s attention, and through trickery and intimidation forced him to follow them outside, where they bound him and transported him to Triboar for execution.

The capture triggered skirmishes between Triboar and The Calamity, and only the Seekers’ timely return prevented the town’s destruction. During the final invasion, Giles activated a rune carved under his eyelid to escape, but was defeated in battle by Connor Lycanmor. He attempted to talk his way to mercy and was beheaded by Korosu.
