Nibbles is a rat with his brain exposed, heavily experimented on by Elindor to increase his intelligence. As a result of this increased intelligence, he was able to learn spells, including the ability to become invisible at will.
This increased intelligence also led to Nibbles having megalomaniacal delusions of ruling the world and becoming all-powerful. Despite this, he is quick to latch on to those that show him kindness.
In 1486 DR, as the Seekers were escaping from the crumbling hideout of Elindor, Nibbles begged for rescue from the group and Zenvalros decided to help him. After this, Nibbles stayed with the group as a companion of his for a long period of time until he was left in Zephyros’ Tower by Zenvalros, in hopes of becoming a more powerful spellcaster.
