Elindor is a high elf alchemist and researcher, born in 1034 DR in Silverymoon, where he spent centuries studying at the University of the Arcane. Unable to secure funding for his alchemical projects there, he accepted an offer from Don Tigre in 1470 DR to become the chief researcher of Don Tigre’s clan. During his decade with the clan, he remained eccentric and emotionally distant but grew fond of Redd the Kidd, whom he taught to create various poisons.
In 1483 DR, Elindor was sent to investigate an artifact in the possession of the Pirate Lords. He retrieved it successfully, but the artifact — later identified as a psychic emitter used by the Kraken to corrupt nearby humanoids — began plaguing him with nightmares and visions. His research grew desperate and feverish, and he eventually snapped: he murdered one of the clan’s lieutenants, stole his equipment and the artifact, and fled.
He built a hidden underground laboratory near the beach in Luskan, where he began experimenting on rats and eventually humanoids, attempting to build an army against the enemy from his visions. His experiments produced aberrations including spider-rats, rat-beholders, rat-dragons, rat-bears, and a rat-ogre hybrid. He also abducted a Wood Elf named Ellora from a nearby village for experimentation.
In 1486 DR, the Seekers were sent by Don Tigre to track him down. They located him with the help of a drow mercenary guide, defeated his aberrations, and captured him. The artifact was subsequently identified as the source of his corruption — the same psychic emitter that corrupted Leor of the Seekers.
As of 1486 DR, Elindor is recovering from his madness at Don Tigre’s hideout.
