Artus Cimber is a former Harper agent and adventurer, best known as the keeper of the Ring of Winter — a legendary artifact of unspeakable cold magic. The ring renders its wearer immune to cold, prevents divination magic from locating them, and halts their aging entirely.
Artus spent years of his life searching for the Ring of Winter before finding it in the jungles of Chult, where he also met and married his wife Alisanda. He parted ways with the Harpers after growing disillusioned with their cautious methods.
In 1485 DR, a band of Frost Giants attacked Bryn Shander, hunting for Artus Cimber to acquire the Ring of Winter. The attack was thwarted by the city’s inhabitants before he could be found.
