Duvessa Shane is the Speaker of Bryn Shander and leader of the Ten Towns’ council. She resides at the Speaker’s Palace.
The daughter of a Waterdhavian trader and a woman of Icewind Dale, Duvessa inherited her mother’s talent for negotiation and her father’s charm. She is renowned for her tenacity — she does not give an inch in any argument or conflict — and believes the people of the Ten Towns can endure any storm.
She was in the council chamber when giants attacked Bryn Shander in 1485 DR.
