Elminster is a carefree demigod of the goddess of magic Mystra, God of Magic with some disturbing tendencies of committing not-so-harmless pranks on others. During a party he hosted in 1486 DR, his rival Pathos Gloomblight managed to trap him in a gem with the magic mouth spell, the only spell that Elminster hadn’t learned. Thankfully, the Seekers managed to put his soul back in his body and, as a way to repay them, he assisted them against the Margasters and the Four Kings.
