Real Name: Taalib el Hakim
The Lord of Slaves has his domain in the Palace and commands hundreds of slaves. He has forged alliances with fiendish beings through his particular application of Truespeech. His constant companion is an imp that perches on his shoulder and stares menacingly at anyone who speaks with him. A few years ago, he bestowed a powerful fiend upon each of the Lords of Calimsharn to serve as their personal bodyguards.
As the Slave Lord, Taalib uses a mix of force and guile to bind others into servitude. Many slaves, however, are willing volunteers enticed by rumors that Taalib can grant wishes to those who fulfill their contracts. This rumor proved true when the Seekers petitioned him to free Felguros and he used a wish to transform a Half-Orc into an Orc. The party, instead of receiving an immediate release, entered into a new, less-restrictive contract requiring them to fight occasionally in the arena as gladiators until Felguros could be freed.
Though the message from the Lord of Knowledge filled him with fury, he agreed to attend the meeting with the Lords of Calimsharn.
He betrayed the Lords of Calimsharn, attempting to assassinate them in the aftermath of the Blood Mines Expedition. Before failing, his soul was collected by the Infernal Knight, sent to the Nine Hells.
