The origins of this ancient demiplane, which takes the form of a mansion, are unknown. Whoever possesses and signs the mansion’s contract becomes its new owner. Multiple people can sign the contract at the same time, allowing them access to the manor with the owner’s permission, but there can only be one owner at a time.

In 1486 DR, the Seekers purchased the contract at an auction in the Black Market of Luskan During their journey to Neverwinter, Leor signed the contract, becoming the mansion’s owner. Other members of the Seekers signed later. Upon gaining access, the Seekers discovered the mansion was corrupted by its previous owner, the fallen paladin Elgion Valesworn. After eliminating the sources of corruption and Elgion Valesworn himself, the Seekers began restoring the mansion. After Leor’s suicide in Waterdeep, a Margaster Family spy stole his belongings, including the contract.

With Leor’s death, the spies quickly established themselves as the new owners and used the mansion as a base. They did not expect the Seekers to regain access and reclaim ownership. With the death of the spy-owner, Zenvalros became the new owner by default, having the oldest signature on the contract. Later, during the journey to the Desert, they discovered the mansion was possibly created by the ancient Athrax Volderak for unknown purposes, suggesting the mansion has had hundreds of owners throughout its existence.

Denizens

The mimic Nug’ri: A smaller than average mimic that lived in the mansion for an unknown amount of time. When Seekers were purging the corruption from the mansion, they managed to befriend Nug’ri and convince him to remove the trash from the mansion. As of 1486 DR. Nug’ri is dead, killed when the spies of the Margasters took over the mansion.

The water elemental: This water spirit became corrupted by Elgion Valesworn to become a malicious defender of the mansion. With his death, the elemental has returned to its original purpose of guarding the healing waters in the chapel of the mansion.

The eternal servant Martin: A humanoid that served the mansion’s owners for apparently thousands of years.
