Real Name: Doctor Craven
The Lord of Science’s domain is his Laboratory, where he conducts a wide range of experiments assisted by three aides:
- Dr. Blitznick, a man partially made of glass
- Dr. Toyo, who is half-mutated
- Dr. Arnold, who is partially mechanical
Doctor Craven created a vaccine against the Red Plague and developed an engine capable of extracting the purest essence from the Blood Stones. Still, he often pursues risky, improvised experiments that sometimes end disastrously — most recently resulting in demon-possessed pigs overrunning his laboratory. Occasionally he supplies the Arena with some of these “failed” experiments for gladiators to fight.
He harbors a deep disdain for “Superstition,” a category that includes anything remotely religious or magical, which has put him at odds with the Lord of Knowledge.
In 1486 DR, he tasked the Seekers with investigating the Tower that found the Truth to earn his trust. When they succeeded, he offered them a new commission: to retrieve the Emerald Tablet, once owned by the legendary alchemist Alkhazir.
He joined Calimsharn roughly 15 years ago.
Doctor Craven reports that the vaccine for the Red Plague has recently stopped working, possibly connected to Alkhazir’s manifestation. He will attend the Lord of Knowledge’s meeting, provided the Seekers help reassure the other Lords of Calimsharn that the vaccine’s development is progressing well.
Died due to the side effects of a serum injection he used to gain enough power to defeat Orthon.
