The Runespeaker was the mysterious humanoid controlling the outlaw army known as The Calamity, which he founded in 1350 DR. He possessed incredible runic powers and gave these runes to many of the elite warriors of the organization, turning it into one of the most feared mercenary armies.
During the invasion of Triboar, it was revealed that the Runespeaker had turned himself into an amalgamation of each single individual possessing his runes, making him effectively immortal while not manifested. Unfortunately for him, his arrogance led to his defeat against the Seekers, with some assistance from Othovir’s sacrifice to Pazuzu.
